Project content overview

The project’s goal is to develop a high-load-bearing, complex Content Management System (CMS) for the international online content service sector. This CMS will not only offer the expected core functionalities but also integrate complex revenue-generating modules based on the PAYWALL business model.

By achieving this goal, the resulting CMS will be a unique, innovative solution on an international level, providing a customizable platform that meets the needs of both large global content providers and smaller-to-medium-sized online media companies. The CMS will incorporate the PAYWALL model at a system level, offering seamless integration.

The CMS product developed during the project will not only build on current knowledge and expectations but will also incorporate forward-looking, proven technological solutions, ensuring sustainability and ease of operation. From the architecture design phase, the system will adhere to technology trends while maintaining its reliability over the long term.

Throughout the project, Virgo Systems Kft.’s specialized technological teams (backend and frontend technologies, data-driven operations, automated testing, UX/UI research methodologies, DevOps technologies, cloud solutions, etc.) will need to continuously develop their expertise. These teams will independently enhance the system’s base functionalities, operate, and support the system across hardware, network, and application levels. This accumulated knowledge will be critical for marketing the system internationally. Furthermore, the continuous upskilling of staff throughout the project will enable them to gain practical knowledge and experience with modern technologies.

Project content overview

Virgo Systems Kft., established in 2000, has grown to become a significant player in Hungary’s IT market and a leading innovator. One of its major achievements was the development and success of the iWiW social networking site, which preceded Facebook and, at its peak, had over four million users. In 2006, the platform was acquired by Origo Zrt., owned by Magyar Telekom Nyrt.

Virgo Systems offers a full range of IT services, including consulting, planning, development, operations, and system support for custom, high-performance web-based solutions tailored to both domestic and international clients. The company serves various industries, including telecommunications, banking, and government, with clients such as Telenor Magyarország Zrt., Magyar Telekom Zrt., Magyar Nemzeti Bank, K&H Bank Zrt., and others.

The company’s goal is to provide technologically and commercially innovative solutions to help clients solidify or expand their market positions. In addition to its client-focused services, Virgo Systems develops its own innovative digital products and participates in numerous R&D projects and collaborations.

Project objective

The aim is to create a development framework and toolkit for companies engaged in traditional B2C and B2B activities, who also possess their own IT capacity or specialize in software development. This framework will offer a broad range of reusable functionalities, reducing the costs of market entry and maintenance. It will address the challenges of omnichannel operations, where customers are seamlessly integrated across both offline and online sales channels.

Virgo Systems has been developing and using this toolkit for years, and the project aims to standardize it, expand it with additional modules, and make it available to other businesses under a license model.

Project implementation

A dedicated scrum team will be set up for the project, focusing on international technology and business innovation. The development will take place at the company’s Budapest office (1055 Budapest, Szent István Krt. 17.), a 470 sqm professional environment designed for IT projects. The office is equipped with digital presentation tools, physical and cloud-based infrastructure, accessible to both employees and suppliers.
