Not quite an SME, not quite a corporate – what is it?

Part of a greater whole
Alongside our end-to-end product development branch – which covers everything from design to operations – we’ve developed the idea over the past few years to launch a new division in response to IT market needs where success only lacks 1-2 key specialists within an existing team setup.
These are typically large-scale, even multinational projects, where the robust tech implementation plan is already in place, but a helping hand is still needed for execution.
It’s a great opportunity for IT professionals who have outgrown the startup hustle or fast-moving projects and are now seeking stability.
I enjoy that here we have a vision and milestones within the project. It’s not just sprint to sprint – there’s mid- and long-term planning too. The fixed framework helps me stay focused, allowing me to really immerse myself in the domain.
We welcome someone who thinks long-term, enjoys digging deep into tasks, and is open to acquiring broader knowledge.
By bringing in new perspectives, our professionals often shed light on solutions that inject fresh momentum into long-standing business logic.
I’m trusted to take on tasks independently, and I get a lot of freedom – this allows for innovation, which the client appreciates. I’m also involved in planning. Compared to my previous job, there are far more opportunities to build internal stakeholder relationships.
I can evangelize technology on the project, which leads to a better developer experience and higher-quality output.
A key value: human-centeredness
Our colleagues work closely with client teams – sometimes even on-site. But even in these situations, we continuously support them throughout the project: a dedicated HR Partner ensures their well-being and helps with long-term career planning.
A major advantage of this division is the variety of projects we provide, allowing professionals to gain experience in international collaborations without leaving the safe and supportive Virgo environment.
While projects often involve careful consideration and client-side coordination that may span countries, here at Virgo we also prioritize flexibility.
I can go to the office when it’s better to discuss something face-to-face with the client, but working mostly from home suits my current life situation perfectly. It’s a step forward compared to my previous job.
I’m grateful that there’s a fully remote option – I was able to join the team from Pécs.
Where are we headed?
Our goal is to continue scaling the team, so we’re always open to welcoming new experts. We also aim to diversify our portfolio, so our colleagues can work on a wide range of technologies and domains.
International opportunities are a key focus – we’re becoming increasingly comfortable in English- and German-speaking markets. Not just remotely, but also through business trips abroad, helping to foster smooth and effective client partnerships.
We’re happy that today, after iWiW, Virgo can also come to mind when it comes to bringing in reliable external expertise.
